Client was remodeling an existing historic house and wanted to install a modern door entry and intercom system in addition to an intrusion alarm system. The main challenge of the project was to install the latest technology while working with the old wiring of the historic house, which meant not cutting into existing walls and plaster. In addition, the house required a video surveillance system that would operate in extreme low light condition.
Forbel designed and installed an HD IP video surveillance system on the exterior of the house that operated in low light and captured clear images. Forbel also installed a door entry and intercom system, built-in speakers in the ceiling, Wifi access points throughout the house, a TV and Sound system and a hybrid intrusion alarm system.
The clients were extremely satisfied with Forbel’s custom work on this project. The hybrid intrusion alarm system operated on a combination of both wired and wireless technology and included motion system detection, glass break detectors, door sensors and shock sensors. 128 bit encryption is used for communication between all sensors. All of the systems in the house were also integrated together and controlled from a mobile device via an iPhone/Android application.
